Colonie Honey packaging Design Africa

Colonie is a very young honey brand from Ivory Coast, West Africa. A creative group who worked out a new scope in the segment brainstormed their initial ideas and developed a practical method of having honey in innovative forms of spoons, sachets and other regular jars.

The brand had the vision to produce high-quality honey directly from the comb, which made them come up with a unique brand name, "Colonie". When launching a brand in such a competitive segment, they believe they must position themselves as unique and improve people's lives.
After sorting out the initial stages, Mr Alex Harold approached DesignerPeople for their product design. According to the project brief, our team understands their concept and inputs different strategies. We were excited and privileged to work with such an innovative brand and put our best effort into executing the best designs.

Challenge

  • Though the brand was from Africa, they planned to launch it in the international market; the DesignerPeople team brainstormed ideas that meet the global market.
  • The brand focused on premiumness as its key USP, so creating a concept with the product was an output of considerable study and teamwork.
  • To develop an elegant design that helps generate brand awareness as their idea was different and new in the international market.
  • The client demanded different designs but also needed uniformity in all the designs to get the feel of family, so executing designs that meet both criteria and maintaining the premiumness was not everyone's cup of tea.
  • Implementing the appropriate shade, gradients, and tones match the product and give a luxury outlook of a unique product in the market.

Solution

We have taken the golden shade as their brand identity and follow the same in all their products as it meets the product colour tone.
Execute the story from bee to honey as a general concept and express it differently with artwork, making it an elegant feel to the packaging.
We give proper colour tones as the change in products and packaging shades, making the design reach the next level.
Choose boldly and premium font also utilised the space properly with catchy placeholders and highlighted proper titles so that customers can easily visualise the product at the first look.
