CPI was founded in the year 1925 in December. S. Sudhakar Reddy is the General Secretary of CPI. It is the oldest party to have begun the communist movement in India. It was born at a time when India was facing the severest colonial imperial oppressions.

Shiv Sena is a regional political party which was founded in the year 1966, June 19th by political cartoonist Bal Thackeray. It is currently headed by Thackeray’s son, Uddhav Thackeray. Members of Shiv Sena are referred to as Shivsainiks.
